Nada Abdelsalam
Ms. Nada Abdelsalam is an accomplished art teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Interior Design. She brings over 15 years of extensive experience in art creation and decor to her role, showcasing her passion and dedication to the arts. Prior to moving to the United States, Ms. Nada managed her own art studio in Egypt, where she specialized in working with children to nurture their creative talents. In 2023, she joined BHA as an assistant teacher in the Lower Elementary. She quickly became a beloved figure among the students, organizing and engaging students in arts and crafts on Fridays. She also spearheaded Art club in our after school program! In addition to her teaching duties, Ms. Nada played a significant role in enriching the school environment with her artistic flair. You may have seen her work (in collaboration with Ms. Amina) at the Spring Concert. We Ms. Nada is dedicated to helping students at BHA explore and refine their artistic abilities, ensuring that they find joy in the creative process. Ms. Nada will also support in the Arabic Department this year. She is very excited for her new role! In her free time, Ms. Nada enjoys crafting, painting, singing, and shopping for art supplies. She is happily married and has a Middle School son, and a 3rd grade daughter.
Amina Siddique
Ms. Amina has been working at BHA since 2022. She started out in our Upper Elementary department and is now working in our Primary Department and also teaching Upper Elementary Art. You may have seen some of her work from the Spring Concert, in which she collaborated with Ms. Nada to create larger than life-size flowers! She received her degree in Early Childhood and Elementary education from the University of Michigan- Dearborn. She also holds state certification and endorsements in Early Childhood Education and Elementary: All subjects, K-8. Ms. Amina grew up in Farmington Hills with her parents, three older sisters, and brothers-in-law. She currently lives in South Lyon with her husband, three kids and her cat, named Drogon. Three of her children attend BHA: in the Upper Elementary, Lower Elementary classroom, and Primary classroom! She is very excited to be working with your children and helping them hone their artistic abilities.
Music Teacher
David Mayer
Mr. David is an experienced music educator. He joined us in the summer of 2024 in our Primary department. His background includes 19 years as a music teacher, with extensive background with a variety of ages. In addition to regular integrated music classes, David has taught choir, band, and keyboard. He especially enjoys helping to write original school-wide musicals. He has a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Grand Valley State University, and a Masters Degree. His vocational experience abroad includes sharing peaceful dialogue between Muslims and Christians in the country of Oman. He lives in Warren, Michigan, with his wife Renee, and enjoys photographing birds as a hobby. He still writes music both for vocation and hobby. He looks forward to providing creative musical activities and helping our school to write a “home-spun” musical play around the theme of “Peace”.
Gym Teacher
Anouar Jabri (Coach AJ)
Coach AJ is entering his 7th year as a P.E. Coach. He has served as Director and Head Coach with Hoop Dreams Basketball, which spanned 5 counties in Florida. In addition, he was the assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Ave Maria University.
Prior to coaching at Ave Maria, AJ spent two seasons at Seacrest Country Day School, serving as the Head Coach for the Girls Basketball team. AJ also worked as the Physical Education Teacher at Naples Adventist Christian School, where he was named, “Coach of the Year”. Following this award, AJ was offered the Physical Education position at Waves of Wonder Montessori, instructing their first P.E. class and founding the athletic department.
AJ attended Miami Dade Medical & Coral Springs Fire Academy where he graduated as an EMT/Firefighter. He coached several years of travel basketball in Florida and the southeastern United States. His teams were consistently top performers.
AJ brings a fresh and unique perspective to Michigan athletics
